Remember the power that comes 

From your ever-nourishing roots  

With these two powerful wings 

You can reach new heights 

Provided that

They remain in balance

Out of balance they can

swerve you in the wrong direction

Or even pull you down

But in balance 

They will take you as high

As your heart desires 

And your mind aspires

May your two wings 

Always remain in balance

And may your values guide you

તમારાં ને મારા કરવામાં 

લાગણીઓને ગોઠવવામાં, 

સંકેલવામાં 

એકબીજાને સમજવામાં 

ચલાવી લેવામાં ,

અટકળો કરવામાં , 

કેટલા અરમાનો કચડાયા 

કેટલી લાગણીઑ દુભાઈ  

કોઈકવાર, અચાનક 

હૈયું કરે એ હિસાબ 

ત્યારે 

ખડકાય એ લાગણીઓનો 

સંઘરેલો ઢગલો 

અને 

ઝરે જરા સરખો તણખો 

પ્રગટે હોળી અંતર મહી 

People

People are like pots and pans 

• Some are made of china, only to be taken out on special occasions. They are fragile, and you have to handle them with care.
• Some are made of melamine, can be used often, rugged and useful.
• Some are made of paper, to be used only in a large group, and the relationship may not work for long.
• Some are made of stainless steel, reliable, useful every day, and can be passed on from generation to generation.
• Some are made of silver, so valuable that they are only a few and only come out for a special occasion or a guest.
• Some are made of non-stick material and no matter what you tell them, nothing sticks but they are the ones you need at special times.
• Some are made of cast iron, once you have seasoned them, you are free to deal with them as you like. They are yours forever.

આહાહા શું છે
આ સ્વપનું કે સાચું
આ ખુલ્લી સડકો
નિયોન ની ઝાકઝમાળ રોશની
બસ હું ને તું મોટી ગાડીમાં
લાંબી સફરે

સ્વર્ગ લાગે હાથવગું
રસ્તે રસ્તે ઝળહળ ઝળહળ
નવા મિત્રો, નવા કપડાં
નવું ઘર, નવી જિંદગી
પણ કાં યાદો સતાવે જૂની

વિચાર આવે નિશદિન 

ક્યારે થશે આપણું
અમદાવાદ આવું
કેવી રીતે વહેંચું
આ ભારોભાર ખુશી

ભલે હોય સ્વર્ગ સમ 

આ નવો દેશ, નવો વેશ 

પણ 

હૃદયમાં ભોંકાય શૂળ ની જેમ 

આત્મજનો નો સંગ

Can't believe you are fifty

Arriving on the top 

Of the hill of life 

The view from here is perfect

The years past and the years ahead 

See how far you have come

The Innocence of childhood

The warmth of family 

Exhilarating years of youth

Laughters Pranks and Parties

Nintendo and Guitar

Music and Masti

Kids and career 

And now, look ahead

To a wonderful future

There are still

Peaks to climb

Dreams to fulfill

Adventures to log 

Places to travel

So take a moment today

To enjoy this perfect view

And plunge ahead

આપ લે

 માગ્યા કરતાં મળ્યું ઘણું 

આપ્યું  હે ઈશ્વર 

તેં ખોબો ભરી ભરી 

હે જીવન તું ધન્ય છે 

પણ, 

મે ચૂકવ્યું પાછું કેટલું 

તે હિસાબ હજી બાકી છે 

જોઉ જ્યારે પાછું ફરી આજે 

વિચારું, આપ્યા કેટલા સ્મિત 

અને લૂછ્યા  કેટલા આંસુ 

ક્યાં  બાંધ્યા લાગણીના તાર 

અને કેટલા ગાંઠ્યા પૂર્વગ્રહ 

ક્યારે ઉજવી ઉદારતા દિલની 

અને ક્યારે સંકોચયુ અંદર મન 

ક્યારે આપી નોંધારા ને સહાય 

અને ક્યારે મોઢું ફેરવ્યું તત્કાળ  

ફરજ ક્યાં ક્યાં ચૂકી ગયા 

હક કેવા સાચવ્યા જતન થી 

સેવા ક્યાં ચૂક્યા કરવાની 

મેવા  શોધ્યા ક્યાં વણહકનાં 

ચિત્ર જે ઉભરે છે આજે 

તે મન ને લાગે છે થોડું ફીકું 

લીધું છે  ઘણું હરખભેર 

ને  કદાચ આપ્યું છે અણીભર  

હજી પણ સમય  છે મનવા 

હિસાબ ચૂકતે કરવાનો 

મીનળ

Where is the time, said they

No one knows where the time goes, said all

No time for parents, 

No Time for children

No Time for friends

No Time for neighbors

Even no time for self

No time, No time

So what happened?

Where did the time go?

Years ago,

Our grandparents had time

Washed clothes by hand

Cooked fresh meals every day

Sewed their own clothes

And yet never said, no time

Our parents raised

Many kids, helped neighbors,

volunteered, 

Baked cookies for school,

They had

No ATMs, No Paying bills online

No smartphones

No Frozen foods or Microwaves,

Ubers or Take Outs

But they had time 

So, 

What happened?

Where did the time go?
