When you were born

 Dear Child

The day you were born,

I was born too -

you, as a new baby

and I, as a new mother,

From the moment  you entered my world

The whole world changed forever for me.

As you opened your tiny eyes

and looked around

I too, looked around as if,

For the first time, through your eyes -

And saw things I had never seen before

As you learned to see

I learned to observe

As you learned to talk

I learned to listen

As you learned to walk

I learned to let go

For both of us, the journey has just begun

May we both keep learning together

The true meaning of love, innocence and curiosity

But best of all. the true meaning of life.
